You are thinking in the abstract when you are saying danger is not a good excuse for not allowing them because you have no idea what kind of violence you open yourself up to when you are gay and in the military.

No, I'm saying that people need to be allowed to make up their own minds as to whether or not they risk violence. That's called being an adult, in a system that is formed of adults.
