Oh look. Abortion rates increased during Bush's term. What a surprise.

What does this tell us? Economic policy and abortion are not separate issues; they form one moral imperative. Rhetoric is hollow, mere tinkling brass, without health care, health insurance, jobs, child care, and a living wage. Pro-life in deed, not merely in word, means we need policies that provide jobs and health insurance and support for prospective mothers.

More than that, I believe the Bible has injunctions to be charitable? Rich men and heaven and camels and needles?

I'm not anti-abortion. But I am against the things that make people feel forced into aborting.

Pro-choice. It's about choice.

Yes, Lizziey, lots of girls are sluts. That's nice. What the hell does that have to do with anything? People make stupid choices all the time, why shouldn't they get a chance to keep from making a worse choice? Some people shouldn't be parents. Sometimes, birth control fails. You're going to punish the kid because the mom is stupid? Nice, Liz, real nice.

there is adoption. if you were stupid enough to get pregnant at a time that you would rather KILL you baby,. well then, at least let the kid live, and give up your responsibility. and the whole "well then i will know i have a child out there, etc." argument? well, you shouldn't have been the slut. killing is WRONG! if you will die before the bbay is viable, ok. rape i'm iffy about, but i guess i can understand, even though the bbay didn;t choose who would fertilize it...
