Question!

On the sign into the library, they kindly inform us that it's prohibited to put our feet on "chairs, cassels, or other library furniture". That's all well and good, but what on earth is a cassel?

Come to think of it, it might've been carrel after all. Which raises another question, 1. why and 2. why do they expect us to know that word?

Maybe they figure since you're in a library, if you don't know what it means, you have every means imaginable at your disposal for looking it up. :p
