Like many such ventures, this was jointly done by the NYPL and the Brooklyn and Queens libraries too.

Over the past few months we'd carefully returned nearly all the books we had out (this time, it was NOT my fault for losing them!) but those fines, omg.

Which is quite a discount from $25! So I bought a few of those. Then at the counter I saw they have Halloween themed dog treats at 50 cents, another very steep discount. The dogs like two of the flavors I picked up, so I'll go back and stock up later. You can never have enough dog treats, honestly.
