Date: 2017-10-28 11:42 am (UTC)I also find the commercialization of the season a bit, well, gauche. I remember my dad complaining about how bad Xmas had become from when he was little, and I don't want to sound like him when I grumble about all the fanfare (lights, lawn decor, etc).
hee! Well I do say this anyway... When I was a kid we'd hang a dummy in a tree or put up cornstalks, or just carve jack-o-lanterns! *grumble grumble*

I don't think we ever paid those prices in the article for it obviously ($295/bottle), but now it's generic the UK list price is £1.88, or about $2.50.
