I wonder if the hair-cutting attacks have a banal, economic motivation. There's a big market for real hair in hair lenghtening industry.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw tbe headline. These attacks might be a warped version of a smash-and-grab robbery.

Halloween is my favorite holiday, or was... since the kids grew older it hasn't been the same. My youngest was my memory keeper, and he has now moved out of the house (still have two others here but they don't celebrate).

I also find the commercialization of the season a bit, well, gauche. I remember my dad complaining about how bad Xmas had become from when he was little, and I don't want to sound like him when I grumble about all the fanfare (lights, lawn decor, etc).

hee! Well I do say this anyway... When I was a kid we'd hang a dummy in a tree or put up cornstalks, or just carve jack-o-lanterns! *grumble grumble*

It's not the decoration that bugs me, it's costumes. My nieces go all out making their costumes, and it's cheaper than buying those mass produced pieces of garbage from the stores.

The glaucoma article has a really good point about eye capacity, which is never even addressed in the product information. It's interesting that they also note that drop size varies, when we always tend to assume 20 drops per ml.

I do just wonder why there's only branded brinzolamide (Azopt) in the US because there doesn't seem to be an active patent on it. I don't think we ever paid those prices in the article for it obviously ($295/bottle), but now it's generic the UK list price is £1.88, or about $2.50.
