i read about that woman and children in the first link in Shadow of the Titanic: The Extraordinary Stories of Those Who Survived by Andrew Wilson.
it's somewhat sad and tragic, yet interesting. mentions how people dealt with the aftermath of the sinking, or didn't. and goes into a little on why people are fascinated by the disaster 100+ years later.

There's a tortoise that's a bit of local legend around these parts, he's missing his back legs as the result of a rat encounter, so his owners fitted him with wheels.

He's a zippy little blighter. Moves a lot faster than a normal tortoise would. The police clocked him (as a bit of stunt for the local rag) doing 25mph. Terrorizes the cats and dogs in his village. His name is Flash, the family name is Gordon.

Flash has a habit of getting out, so they painted his shell to make him more visible. So now he's the only tortoise with bright orange flames and a hi-vis go-faster stripe.
