Star Spangled Ice Cream
May. 10th, 2004 01:10 amThe conservative answer to Ben and Jerry's. Well, maybe. Except that Ben and Jerry not only have at least a few ice cream names that have nothing to do with politics (like Chubby Hubby and Chunky Monkey), their cartons are better drawn. And their names are somewhat more creative.
Honestly, am I the only one who thinks that they should've had a professional writer and/or artist go to work on these? They're just making themselves look bad...
Can't comment on the flavors, though, haven't tried them. And every constituency is entitled to sell ice cream, I certainly won't stop them. And, well, given the low wages and the cut in governmental benefits to the returning soldiers, I have nothing against supporting private organizations that help the armed forces. I don't see this as a conservative cause, more of a humanitarian one.
Wow. That was a waste of a post.
