No wonder we get so many support requests about this! Here I was, getting angry at them for misreading the FAQ (which clearly does NOT say that your journal will be purged 30 days after deletion) and look what it says on the page of the deleted journals themselves:

Deleted Account
Deleted

This journal has been deleted. If you are ********, you have a period of 30 days from the deletion time to undelete the journal. After 30 days we will delete all content permanently from our servers.

Lies! Vicious lies!

Now, to whom do I complain?
