There's going to be all kinds of creativity deployed to make sure Mississippi isn't cut off from the Internet or the rest of the country, although the easiest and most straightforward solution would have been for the Supremes to go "Hah, you're going to lose this anyway, so we may as well not actually let you start it."

Also, the Tedium post promoting federation is a familiar kind of argument, but it's a significantly more technical solution than most people will want to engage with or have the free time and resources to engage with.
