Date: 2017-05-31 07:31 pm (UTC)As of last night the form on the web site for requesting a change still has only M and F.
But the difference between being "accepted" and "recognized" is rather huge.
I fully expect that there will be quite a few folks who won't like the X gender markers. But nobody is asking them to *like* it. Just to realize that it's legal and get on with business.
Me? I'm going to look into it next time my license comes up for renewal. Partly to support folks and partly because I'd rather have ID that folks can't use against me if I'm dressing male, female or a mix of both.

In your case, I wish you the best; at the very least, you're helping to trailblaze this to some degree of normalcy.

Me, I *prefer* to avoid hassles by trying to "pass" when I decide to dress en femme. But I'm old enough that I may well just go "the hell with it".
Thinking about wearing one of my dresses or a nice cool skirt and top to Pride, but not bothering to shave off the beard (I have the beard because my face does *not* tolerate shaving well)
