But I keep a running tally. When I post somebody else's link, I give myself a point, and if one of my links gets posted by somebody I know, you guys get a point. And then I forget how many points I have, exactly, but I have a vague idea if I'm winning or losing.

Is that as strange as I think? Because I'm thinking it might be a little strange.

I don't do the 'point' thing- don't like any kind of keep-score game (or any game at all, really, except chess) because winning or losing such games means nothing to me, but the forgetting-exactly-how-many-I-had part would bug me past all bearing: If I was going to keep a tally of anything, it would have to be an accurate tally, and that would quickly become too much llke work.. LOL, I'm a Recovering Compulsive Listmaker; I try not to to get sucked in to potential listmaking traps, else it could take me three days' listmaking to plan one day's activities. Perseveration is a super-power right enough, but it can be a hard one to control sometimes.

Oh, and the one on anti-abortionists getting abortions... I am not THAT surprised that so many of the people getting abortions are secretly from notoriously anti-abortion/pro-life (and anti-contraceptive, sometimes) groups. Those same groups that don't want people to hav abortions often are the harshest judges of premarital sex/pregnancy too. The members must be left feeling like they are going to be damned by their God and their families and friends no matter what, and at least if they get the abortion, their family and friends never have to know. They must live in horrible shame and grief afterwards, and unnecessarily so. Very sad! Also very angering, that so few of them would be able to admit the hypocrisy, but then again, to do so would be to lose their entire support system. It must be easier, somehow, to rationalize "their" abortion and continue to demonize others' than to push back or state their own opinion and/or experiences.
