For those of you who want poop-free anecdotes...

So, today, the baby "pushed" Ana. I mean, not really - she can't even voluntarily move her arms, so she can't exactly *push* anybody. But she flailed her arms wildly and one of them hit Ana in the chest, prompting this dialog:

Ana: Eva! No pushing! No pushing, Eva!
Baby: Agoo? Aooo! GaaaaaaAAAAAAaaaah.
Ana: No push me. You understand, Eva? Understand? Say "understand".
Baby: *yawns*
Ana: Eva. Say sorry. Say sorry push me.
Baby: *gurgles*
Ana: Say sorry.
Baby: Agoo!
Ana: Okay. I hafta go. Understand? I hafta. *walks deliberately into Jenn's massive closet, closes door*
Me: Uh....
Clock: Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick.
Ana: *walks back in* Ready say sorry? Say sorry, Eva. Say sorry.
Baby: Gaaaaah.
Ana: I hafta go. *repeat last few steps*
Me: *gigglesnort*
Ana: Eva. No push, understand?
Me: Sweetie, I don't think that -
Ana: I say understand! Eva, understand?
Me: That's just it, sweetie, I don't think she *does* under... oh, nevermind.
Ana: *walks back into closet*

This went on for a while. It was rather amusing - certainly moreso than her trying to tell *me* "You need time-out" (and then attempting to pick me up).

That's so cute... But in a way I feel bad for her. Like maybe she's hurt that Eva isn't apologizing.

I did too, a little, but after she caught me giggling, she started laughing and going "She smiling me! She smiling at me!", so I don't think she was *too* upset.

Oh. Sorry. Anyway, she was just musing on spritzing cats with water as a disciplinary device, and the random fleeting thought of..."what about the kids? It works so WELL on the cats..." Not that she would of course. :-)
