So, after the traditional fight, I do eventually end up heading to Jenn's for Christmas.

Where I ate blue-cheese baked in filo dough, and played with Ana's new toy cars (those things are cool), and somehow ended up with baby-holding duty as we were playing cards.

Eh. At least it wasn't Parcheesi. I didn't win once. Sniffle.

Oh, and my mom and I took advantage of the opportunity to sing Christmas carols as loud as was reasonable (and mayhaps a bit louder).

And then I walked home, to spite my mother's claims that it's horribly dangerous to walk around once the sun has set. Alas, I forgot my phone at Jenn's. Yeah. I bet they're about ready to kill me now for not calling once I got home. Oops.

Jenn's got the day off, I'm headed to the bookstore (GIFTCARD!), djusk' a!

Your mother is afraid of vampire rapists too? Same here. I wasn't even allowed to cross the street to go to the corner store once the sun set. It was only at night. And then, when we moved to our new house (It backed onto a ravine) I spent a night staring at the stars, only to be woken out of my day dreams by my mothers shrill cry of "THERE ARE RACOONS!!! GET INSIDE OR THEY WILL GET YOU!!!!"

So now it's racoon vampire rapists that she's terrified of.

Mind, it *was* past 1 when I left the house, but I'm wondering what sort of piss-poor rapist you'd have to be to hang around outside at 1 just in case somebody should happen to wander by. On Christmas.
