Date: 2005-07-30 12:04 pm (UTC)As I say, my own case is minor: I once managed to scratch half of my left palm into a red scaly scabbed mess, which prompted my Dad to start calling me "Rameses III", but now that's completely cleared up. Your case may be minor (I hope so!) and I recommend you go to the doctor only if these basic precautions don't deal with it:
- Cover up the bubbles with plasters
- Resist urge to peel off plasters
- Scratch over the plasters if it ever feels itchy
- Use lots of handcream whenever convenient
- Try not to think about it or examine your hands too much
If it still persists to the point of being bothersome, definitely see the doctor as you may require antibiotics. Very good luck!
