As for the second, the why is "because it's fucking stupid". So, your parents were travelling when you were born, you can't be president? So, you were adopted, you can't be president? But if you were born here, and then spent your life from age 5 - 30 out of the country, you can come home and legally be elected? What does "being born here" have to do with anything of value?
