On memes, and other stuff...
May. 25th, 2005 05:45 pm1. One often sees memes saying "Post this sentence in your journal if you, like the person posting this now, want to kiss/glomp/fuck/fuck in detail/write porn about somebody on your friends list". But where are the memes saying "Post a comment HERE if you want to do that to me"? That'd be funny. Um. On somebody else's journal, thanks.
2. People often ask for reccommendations of books/fics/fandoms. But, again, where are the memeish posts asking for books/movies/TV shows to stay far, far, far away from? That'd be considerably more useful, don't you think? Alternatively, where are the posts asking for books/movies/music/whatever that the poster would never pick up on their own, but which are still good? So you never read sci-fi. Here's your chance for people to suggest sci-fi for you! Expand your horizons!
3. All those people asking for random compliments. I actually understand why asking for random criticisms is less common (I mean, really!), but doesn't anybody have a perverse interest in what would come up?
4. Bad HTML needs to die.
