It's more stupidity that seems to be harming this poor baby, sounds like.

God, I don't know why I bother posting these. It's like clearing a hole in a sandy beach - it just fills right back up again.

*sighs*

What makes me angriest though is the "friend" who agreed to do something, stole the money, and didn't care for the cat. But the whole thing... I wish I could help. Alas, trying to get the kitten across an entire continent so it could go to someone without the resources to care for it isn't the solution. But I hope someone will take in and love the cat.

But at least you can feel like you're doing your part - and by posting this, you are showing that you care. Even if the cat doesn't get adopted because of your post directly, someone just may tell someone else and so on as needed... and that would be due to you in large part. Also, you're raising awareness of animals that need homes, at least as far as your FL.

My problem is I wish I could rescue each and every one, knowing I can't, and getting kind of sad about it. I'm a bit more pragmatic about it now than I was a few years ago, though. Don't go around lecturing everyone and their mother, or wringing my hands. I do volunteer at the Potter League (http://potterleague.org). That's an improvement, I suppose.

I need to remember to ask if the 3 legged cat Padraig every found a home... he was sweet. But I'm kind of afraid of the answer. He was a cat I wanted to adopt, but I'm only supposed to have one cat where I live (though my landlady is kind enough to let me have 3).

But spreading the word certainly can't hurt. That was my point. Yep. :)
