What browser do youse guys use? Why? Now is the time to extoll the virtues of *insert random browser* mihi!

*waits patiently*

Edit: *I* use Firefox. You can still extoll it, in case there are some people on my friends list who use icky IE, but you don't need to extoll it to me :)

I shouldn't have to justify Firefox to you.

You've got 1.0.2, right?

And I adore that icon. Might I filch it?

Avant. Cuz you can have a bajillion windows at once without loading a plug-in.

It has all the perks and convenience of IE with none of the evil hassle.

I know most people swear by Firefox, but I stand by my choice.

Firefox! Firefox! Use it! For it has tabs and all sorts of other nifty things and it's open source and people work on fixing bugs and it has good security and it's just COOL.

Did I mention it's open source, so everyone can help on improving it and adding new features? Plus it is free to download.

Besides, I.E. is ebil.

Firefox.

Tried Opera, but I think it will be for testing codes only.

Of course, my favorite feature of Firefox is my ColorZilla eyedropper thing. It means I can grab the hexidecimal color code for any part of anything on the web. So awesome! It is very useful for solving internal debate over whether this color is different than that color, or for finding the perfect match when coding a webpage around and image.

Didnt you have a Firefox eating IE icon? Or know where I can find it to steal it? I meant to when I last saw it, but forgot...

Forgot why I use it over firefox, but it was a quirky, specific reason why.

I use Firefox, because the original Mozilla was an intense memory hog. I used to use Opera two or so years ago, but then it started crashing on me all the time and completely losing my bookmarks and stuff.

I still have some memory issues because of Firefox, but I can't live without tabbed browsing. Hopefully one day I can install more memory on my PC...

I use firefox because it tends to suck in a way that pisses me off less than anything else I've tried. It has, however, been pissing me off a lot recently (I upgraded to the most recent version and tabbrowser extensions stopped working, and using it without that is driving me nuts) so I may be changing.

Firefox, always a "nightly" build, tons of extensions, customization, experimenting, and generally getting all perseverant about it. :-)

I liken it to cooking. Some people enjoy creating complex dishes precisely to their liking, experimenting/learning as they go along. Others just want to microwave something pre-frozen from the supermarket. Firefox can be perfect in both capacities, but it does require a little work in the very beginning, and some people are so into the microwavable experience that they can't handle it.**

** I made the mistake of trying to help somebody with that attitude set it up last weekend, unfortunately. Not doing that again, nor have I really spoken to the person since, even though xe did apologize afterwards.

I've been a Firefox convert for a while now, and I really see no reason to go back to the ebil MicroSloth browser, other than it lets me do a few things with my Yahoo! mail that I can't with Ffox. So it's on my machine for that reason -- but my usage is ninety-nine-times-out-of-one hundred for Firefox.

Oh, and I've added you at the enthusiastic recommendation of thornleaf, who kindly told me of cool people she knew I ought to read and get to know, as well. Feel free to browse me rambles :)

Opera! I originally got it for the auto-reload feature (I wanted to transfer my Neopets without having to let anyone else into my main account. I'm rather paranoid), and then switched over completely when popups killed IE.

Opera here. Firefox is okay, but I like Opera's command keys better, and I found a skin I really liked... sort of superficial, I know, but Firefox does everything Opera does so there's got to be a difference.

I use Safari first, Firefox second. Safari because it's pretty decent and has ad blocking/tabs, and firefox seems slower sometimes..

I use Firefox because I like my quick link buttons right there where I can see them. I like occasionally opening up new tabs for related websites, just to keep "traffic" down. I like that it integrates SO NICELY with Trillian email link-alerts and doesn't bark at me for access to Yahoo! mail and Hotmail (yeah, the Hotmail account is ancient, so I still use it). It has a good little "Ctrl-F" find bar. I also like that (although my NICE Antibirus guard works amazingly) it does a good job of popup blocking AND being a thwart against popular browser exploits.

I still use IE on occasion for IE-specific things like Yahoo! LAUNCHcast 'net radio. The only thing I really do miss is the more extended Google toolbar I have on IE...with all the extra goodies. Firefox has Google right there too, but not all the extra spiffy stuff.

I don't use any other browsers. Netscape always seemed to stuffy and sluggish for me. I hate AOL with a flaming passion. With others I just don't have much if any experience, so I won't mention them (even if I could remember them :-p).

OH!! If anyone can help me with this ONE annoying feature (that I can think of right now)...HOW can I make my Bookmarks menu arrange alphabetically without me manually doing so? I want alphabetical order but don't want to have to do all that blasted manual moving. :-p

Firefox and Netscape. Netscape for email, NC and Neopets, and Firefox for everything else. Occasionally Opera too...

Inceidentally, "firefox" comes up as a spelling error on the right click spellchecking goodness.

I don't like tabs. I like separate instances. I've never had any problems, ever with IE. It's very plain, and does what it does well. I even found an auto-refresh bar-dealie. tis awesomea.
