Date: 2005-03-24 08:23 pm (UTC)It has all the perks and convenience of IE with none of the evil hassle.
I know most people swear by Firefox, but I stand by my choice.

Date: 2005-03-24 08:28 pm (UTC)Tried Opera, but I think it will be for testing codes only.
Of course, my favorite feature of Firefox is my ColorZilla eyedropper thing. It means I can grab the hexidecimal color code for any part of anything on the web. So awesome! It is very useful for solving internal debate over whether this color is different than that color, or for finding the perfect match when coding a webpage around and image.
Didnt you have a Firefox eating IE icon? Or know where I can find it to steal it? I meant to when I last saw it, but forgot...

Date: 2005-03-24 08:33 pm (UTC)I still have some memory issues because of Firefox, but I can't live without tabbed browsing. Hopefully one day I can install more memory on my PC...

Date: 2005-03-24 08:42 pm (UTC)I liken it to cooking. Some people enjoy creating complex dishes precisely to their liking, experimenting/learning as they go along. Others just want to microwave something pre-frozen from the supermarket. Firefox can be perfect in both capacities, but it does require a little work in the very beginning, and some people are so into the microwavable experience that they can't handle it.**
** I made the mistake of trying to help somebody with that attitude set it up last weekend, unfortunately. Not doing that again, nor have I really spoken to the person since, even though xe did apologize afterwards.

Date: 2005-03-24 09:03 pm (UTC)I still use IE on occasion for IE-specific things like Yahoo! LAUNCHcast 'net radio. The only thing I really do miss is the more extended Google toolbar I have on IE...with all the extra goodies. Firefox has Google right there too, but not all the extra spiffy stuff.
I don't use any other browsers. Netscape always seemed to stuffy and sluggish for me. I hate AOL with a flaming passion. With others I just don't have much if any experience, so I won't mention them (even if I could remember them :-p).

Date: 2005-03-24 10:24 pm (UTC)I don't like tabs. I like separate instances. I've never had any problems, ever with IE. It's very plain, and does what it does well. I even found an auto-refresh bar-dealie. tis awesomea.
