I, personally, lose my temper easily with babies. This is why I stay away from them. I can't function around little children/babies that can't follow simple orders (be quiet, sit down, yanno, stuff like that).
I just have a temper problem.
While what she did was deplorable, and just stupid, I can see people getting that angry. I can get angry like that, but not to where I'm physically harming an almost-two year old.
it's just that I have this inherent need for people to just do what I say. ESPECIALLY in the kitchen and by little 2-3 year olds. Triple word score when both happen at the same time.
I mean, hearing 'no!' and the variations thereof don't help my blood pressure.
So Nature pwns me (and I mean pwned.) by whapping me with migraines. Bitch.
Wait, did you say you were me? I feel the exact same way. I have enough self-control to keep from harming a child, but I get frustrated far too easily to deal with kids.
I don't generally want to see the main tourist attractions, but God I want to see the Sistine Chapel. Have to figure out a time when the whole place won't be crammed with tourists in kneesocks and sandals...
and hey! I wore jeans the entire time. and sneakers. roads are MISERABLE for flippies.
In fact, I'm weariong the pair I ripped up when I fell onto the ground in Florence. they spell it Fierenze. hee.
loud, and there were plastic seats over the actual benches on the walls. o_O.
but, there ws this wee city, on a hill (I remember walking that bugger), and it had the most...chruchy church. it was a, unpunningly meant, religious experience. I think it was to the saint De Ascici. or however you spell it. :P
You have to wear trousers/a long skirt - it's the reason I didn't do more than wander around the outsidey bit of the Vatican. It was in the high 30s and there was no way we were making the trek all the way from the hotel (in a completely different part of Rome) in trousers.
But I suppose if you're not visiting during the formative parts of a continent-wide heatwave then having your legs covered wouldn't be so bad ;0)
And Firenze surely *ducks* I was personally disappointed, although I liked Ponte Veccio, but maybe that's partly because we managed to accidentally not go into the Uffizi (sp?) and at least if I'm going to see a style of art that doesn't interest me, I could see the famous examples. Oh, and it could be because we got the train into the city to arrive at 8am and it was in the high 30s in the shade by midday (sending us back to our place) - that also kind of overrides other memories of the city.
