You have to wear trousers/a long skirt - it's the reason I didn't do more than wander around the outsidey bit of the Vatican. It was in the high 30s and there was no way we were making the trek all the way from the hotel (in a completely different part of Rome) in trousers.

But I suppose if you're not visiting during the formative parts of a continent-wide heatwave then having your legs covered wouldn't be so bad ;0)

And Firenze surely *ducks* I was personally disappointed, although I liked Ponte Veccio, but maybe that's partly because we managed to accidentally not go into the Uffizi (sp?) and at least if I'm going to see a style of art that doesn't interest me, I could see the famous examples. Oh, and it could be because we got the train into the city to arrive at 8am and it was in the high 30s in the shade by midday (sending us back to our place) - that also kind of overrides other memories of the city.

We went in the spring, (Sprig Break Trip), so it was actually pretty warm in the afternoon.

Thankfully, EVERYONE was wearing pants.

We also went to Sorrento. with it's MUTANT CITRUS FRUIT OF DOOM AND TASTYNESS.
