You'll laugh, it was that weird.

I dreamed that I was going to sleep. I had found a bed - not my actual bed, just a bed! - and snuggled down to sleep. And then I woke up a little (really woke up, not dream woke up) in my own bed, snuggled up nice and cozy, and drifted between the two beds, real and dream, for a little bit before falling back asleep for real.

I've had that dream. And I'm never sure in the dream - if I'm dreaming or not.

Last night I had a nightmare - pinched myself in the nightmare - because I wanted out of the nightmare, but it didn't work - until I eventually did wake up. Very weird. Also evidence that pinching oneself doesn't necessarily mean it is a dream or reality.

Does it help that I feel a little less failtastic reading your account? I too have pinched myself ind dreams and not woken (the indignation made me remember).

Very much so. It scared me last night. LOL!

Apparently we can subconsciously pinch ourselves without waking up.

I dreamed I was trying to sleep, but then unannounced house guests showed up, and we attempted to take a nap together, but they were so restless and intrusive I couldn't settle either. When I dream about falling asleep, especially the dream where I can't keep my eyes open, I assume IRL that means I'm turbo-tired.

I've done that before! I feel like - just as I dream about trying to find a working bathroom when my real life body needs to pee, is my body trying desperately to go to sleep and is trying to tell me something?? Brain, you are ALREADY asleep! It's fine! You can just sleep, you don't gotta desperately tell me that I need to find a bed and snuggle in!

Anyway, it's better than dreaming about my teeth all falling out.
