The one with the poor little bunny. *hugs*

But I couldn't understand the vast majority of the song until I found the lyrics. Then, of course, they all fell into place. Why does it become easy to understand what I'm hearing when I can see it?

Heh, I'd say Auditory Processing Disorder (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=capd), but I'm a bit biased there, of course.

I don't see how I ever watched TV without captioning...

I should be asleep as well. But. Um. If you don't want to, it's not a big deal. I'm going soonish anyhow.

Actually most people have that difficulty. If you're watching a TV show and you close your eyes, it's harder to understand what the characters are saying than if you are unconsciously reading their lips at the same time.

I wonder if it's like my 'speech impediment'. I score very high in all areas except vocabulary which is actually how you parse things, not how many words you know. The speech pathologist said it was an impediment & not a disability because it's so narrow band/specialised.

Oh, don't even get me started on standardized test questions that are supposed to measure your vocabulary. Given a creative enough mind, you could find several answers that seem to be a reasonable fit!

Oh my god, me either! I find that most people can't stand to watch TV in my room with me because I insist on watching with caps... Of course, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. :P

Just one more reason you need to come visit - we can watch TV together!

But not Disney.

Incidentally, if I ever get enough skill at animation to do Flash stuff (fat chance), I have the intention of captioning every bit of it. LegendaryFrog (http://www.legendaryfrog.com/)'s Flash animations are excellent stuff to begin with, but the fact that they're all captioned only makes things better. I wish more Flash animators would do that.

Heck, I ought to outsource myself to Flash animators to do captioning for them...

Thanks for the lyrics

Hearing it without them, I thought part of it went

Everyone else has had more sex than me.
Does anyone else get that feeling?
Two ninjas naked,
Couple and threes
swing from the ceiling.
