Teachers in Arkansas can still reward students with candy.

Question: Why can't they reward students with something else? Growing up, we always got stickers. Or no-homework passes, or 5 extra points on a test. Not candy!
Question: Why are they concerned about obesity, but NOT about the potential damaging effects of rewards? I remember reading in my psych class, children who were rewarded for drawing were much less likely to choose to draw later. There's a lot of not-good implications of that, and related, studies.
