I watched it last night without turning on subtitles, and could still understand about 90% of the dialogue. It is very similar to modern German, and in this movie they spoke very clearly, unlike most people's casual speech. Except the doctor when he was yelling; I didn't understand a bit of that.
But agh!, the film creeped me out. I shouldn't have watched it so soon before bed.
