I was right, it hasn't been a full month

I checked my previous post and the comments thereof and it's only been about three and a half weeks since my last period started.

Also, in cat news, a very friendly to humans tabby came into our yard today and killed a mourning dove, so there's clearly nothing for it, we have to capture her and never let her out of the house again. Or perhaps rehome her. She really is very friendly and nobody in the neighborhood will admit to knowing where she came from, so it's not theft even a little. Would anybody like a pretty gray tabby, very friendly? Probably a good mouser?

Presumably there's no chip either, though due diligence would mean having the vet scan for it when you take her for her initial checkup. Keeping her indoors sounds like the best course for all involved.

I doubt there's a chip. Though, yes, we'd definitely get that scanned when bringing her by the van to get fixed.

Hm. The important thing is to find a neighbor with an EBT card, I think. They don't really care whose card you use, just so long as they have something to scan.

Mmm. A number of kittens appeared around the same time this sweetie did. I suspect it's less that we attract cats and more that somebody dumped a whole bunch. Unfortunately, the kittens are semi-feral and will flee very fast - and they're now a bit old to tame.

I absolutely would adopt the sweetie of a stripey grey girl, were I near. Alas. So again with the cuddles by proxy, I suppose? I miss having purring friends around.

Two different sets of neighbors that I know of are making their own efforts, but you know how it is with kittens, there's always another litter somewhere.
