On one hand, using semicolons instead of commas when either would do would absolutely reduce the number of commas in my writing.

On the other hand, I'd then look like the sort of dweeb who uses semicolons on reddit. And when I say I'd look that way, I mean I'd absolutely be that way. Plus, would I really be accomplishing anything besides fooling myself? What I really need to do is either a. let it go or b. start rewriting my sentences to be comma-free, ideally without making them choppy.

Hm.

Is it possible I want too much? Are all these goals actually achievable at the same time?

I have been using multiple semicolons inn my writing, just because. Anyway, I use lots of commas, too, because I tend to write as I think now where I pause a lot or invert ideas.

Long sentences? Read some of these!
