I love that, in some cases, prisons will allow prisoners to make local calls for free. (No doubt in X years, someone will have the brilliant idea of cutting prison costs by, gosh, making prisoners pay for phone calls. But in the meantime, yay.)

What gets me is that this is the stupidest approach to anything ever.

I feel that same way about alcohol in prisons. For the cost of going absolutely batshit trying and failing to keep them from making their own booze, you could just... let them have beer a few times a week. But noooooooooooo.

Friday, possibly Saturday per NY1. Per the surprisingly accurate weather app on my iphone - it will break on Friday with a high of 87 and then we get rain for three days (30-40% chance)and it's back down to the 60s in the morning/at night and seventies during the day by Tuesday.

So not that long at all. It's apparently 110 elsewhere.
