If you have a screen cover on your submarine HATCH (further inside the submarine than the solid steel hatch),

then when you surface, you can get fresh air without getting mosquitoes

There would be a lot in the narrow strip of sea between mainland China and Taiwan, and similar near-shore bits of sea in South East Asia.

Not a problem in the Atlantic Ocean, admittedly...

A chocolate teapot because it might get through one use before melting. An inflatable dartboard because, even though it would deflate after the first dart, you could still hang it and throw darts at it and score your aim. And neither of those are deadly like the screen door would be.

I can eat things made of chocolate even if I can't use them for the intended purpose, so they have an inherent use if not the intended one.

Because a chocolate hammer is mundane enough that I won't have any compunction about breaking it up and eating it. Chompy chompy chomp. Both the fireguard and the teapot might be too pretty.

A glass hammer, properly made, would be food-safe, and as such, useful for tenderizing meat. You would of course have to watch for chips, but that too is part of being food-safe.

A chocolate fireguard could be a useful one-time-trigger fire alarm system.
