Date: 2020-09-13 07:30 pm (UTC)I lost a fandom friend to COVID_19 attacking his brain. It’s so very scary. I will read that one later.
Glanced over the last one. Between the Dominionist end timers who want to bring on the apocalypse and maybe other USians just expecting “I’m gonna die before I get old” and there to be an apocalypse it become s a self-fulfilling prophecy. We’re gonna die anyway so might as well party is a way too wide spread attitude for e people who just can’t handle nuance and complexity, I guess. I don’t want to go down with this ship.

Date: 2020-09-13 09:57 pm (UTC)I miss eating out, but I am loving the money I’m saving, as well as my health and life, so I’m going to try to keep much of my new habits, if we ever get to the other side of this.
No, I never thought their parties were fun, and I go back and forth between thinking "people are such babies in the US!” and “this is too much for many extroverts without a sane government impelling them to stay home.” It’s a little of both I guess, except the colleges and uni's--I am so angry that maintaining the rules is being blamed on young people who haven’t fully developed impulse centers in their brains and hormones raging to connect by college admins--opening colleges and universities is criminal. Our society, admins, and parents who have a say in it are not going to be judged well by history.
