I'm glad you got married. Yup, you thought it'd never happen, and now it's happening.

But... I don't know, I think it's a little skeevy that the dog you rescued is now your boyfriend, and he's going directly from sleeping in your bed as your dog to sleeping in your bed as your husband and omg are you still calling him by his dog name!?

Maybe spend some time getting to know each other as humans first? A few months? Or weeks? Or... hours, even? A few minutes? ANY TIME AT ALL?

Okay, well, I guess that's happening.

(But, honestly, stop calling him by his dog name. No, seriously, stop. People will talk. I mean, they'll talk anyway, but why give them so much to talk about? STOP.)

At first I was confused about who was rescuing whom because I just finally took in "Jupiter Rising".

It took me a minute to realize you were talking about fictional characters in a book and not a real person. LOL! Whatever book you are reading - it sounds unintentionally, hilarious.

That sounds like a plot that started with the author thinking, "I wish I'd meet someone who loves me as much as my dog does."

Yah, sometimes stories say more about the author, than about the characters.

Is the transition supposed to be permanent? It feels like the dogname should be a deadname as well in that case. (Or perhaps even if the transition doesn't last. Etiquette about that's unclear to me.)
