She hasn't had trouble with them before, but maybe they changed the formulation or something?

That'll be easy to check. Don't give her any chewies until she's done vomiting for a few days, then give her one and see what happens.

A lot of pet food companies don't issue official recalls until a LOT of reports come in. What brand & type are they? I'll see if there are reports of something similar, just in case.

Nothing that I'm seeing for *recent* stuff, but a decent number of dogs apparently have digestive problems and vomiting stemming from Smartbones & Dreambones, so, quite possibly? (Even if she tolerated it in the past, might just be a change in formulation that pushed her into the intolerance. Maybe try one more bag, but might have to stop it.)

Also worth noting -- other dogs needed a couple of *weeks* for the effects to go away when they developed an intolerance.

This is about FDA rules for people food, so I don't know if something similar applies to pet food as well. It was meant to help food vendors get by during the pandemic when their normal supply chains might be disrupted. I remember thinking when I heard about it, what a headache for people with allergies... https://www.fda.gov/food/cfsan-constituent-updates/fda-announces-temporary-flexibility-policy-regarding-certain-labeling-requirements-foods-humans

I'm always checking the ingredients. Do you have an older bag still? Could compare with the new bag if so.

Don’t you hate that?  It’s the very thing you threw out, that you want later.  You can’t fit everything into the junk drawer…
