Trump reportedly said he would reject a bailout package if it included aid to keep the US Postal Service functioning
I have said this before, and I will undoubtedly say this again. There is a cabal in the government that seeks nothing more* than to destroy the USPS for having the audacity to be a well-liked, mostly functional arm of the federal government.
This is not a conspiracy theory, except in the very literal sense that there is a conspiracy and I have a well-tested explanation for why it exists. There are some people in our government who simply want to see the world burn, starting with the post office.
For the love of god, if you have no other issue that determines how you vote, make it this one. Contact your congresscritters and keep at them and keep at them until they shape up. (And don't believe the lies about FedEx and UPS working better. They outsource everything they don't want to handle to the USPS. I suppose it's good business to do your deliveries on the cheap, but still.)
* I'm sure they want a few other things, but you can imagine what those are. It's not pretty.

Date: 2020-04-13 03:23 pm (UTC)Smart move. It’s a Kevin Costner vanity project that drags on at least a half-hour too long (as Ridley Scott said of Blade Runner 2049, and he was right) and the result was simply boring. Nothing of what made the novel interesting was in it.
