Date: 2020-03-11 07:13 am (UTC)DARE doesn't work. You get a very short term statistical decrease for the youngest students, but it actually increases chances of use over the long haul and what small short term decrease they get disappears for higher grades.
DARE is a way for police departments to milk education dollars out of school systems.
The programs that actual work statistically are the ones where you get older peers (2-3 years older) to do real talk based on accurate information and things that actually happened to them and their friends.
Harm reduction saves lives. Science based approaches to drug education work better than law enforcement scams.
