it's not really the government's job to be telling us what we should be eating or drinking. this is exactly how prohibition got started. also, if it's supposed to be against sugar in sodas why are sugar free sodas subject to the same tax?

Edit: and despite that subsidy, Coke and Pepsi are notorious for having volatile sales in terms of consistency, market-wise.
