Date: 2018-11-03 10:25 am (UTC)The "Boys" article is good. I've actually interrupted young white teenage boys from calling young blacks "boy" because of the connotation of it. (I used to tutor teenage boys in a small town in a very rural county.)

Date: 2018-11-03 01:57 pm (UTC)I've read Atlas Shrugged several times. Except for the preachy spots, it's no worse than a lot of science fiction from that period.
Rand *did* do a good jopb of identifying a lot of social problems (including setting up guilt as a control mechanism, and setting things up so people inevitably have *something* to feel guilty about).
She gets points for that.
But she *completely* blew it with her proposed solutions. :-(
