FFS, thunderstorms are continuing for several hours!?

I can't go out to do some necessary errands (scared of lightning) and poor Moonpie is about to shake out of her skin with all the thunder!

That's one of the good things about Florida. If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change.

(As I actually did have to go an appointment I muttered "time to sing the song of my people" and dashed to my partner's car yelping, "I hate being wet. Wet wet do not like wet. Weeeeet." Youngest roommate hadn't noticed my emphatic feelings on this previously and just about died while going, "you're a cat."
