I just completely weirded Eva out by telling her she's a very important person to me, and I just want her to know I love her very much.
Eva: ...is there something wrong? What do you want?
Me: I just want you to know that you're wonderful!
Did it to Ana too.
Ana: Seriously, is somebody talking shit about me? Whatever it is, I didn't do it.
You have to space this sort of thing out or they become inured to it, but if you do it occasionally their reaction to this speech is hilarious. (Anyway, it's true. I do love them very much, and they're both wonderful.)

Date: 2018-05-07 06:20 am (UTC)I've owned three types of ereaders that predate the Kindle: Rocketbook (mentioned in the article--too heavy for regular use, very little memory), Sony PRS-505 (stolen from me), Jetbook (screen cracked within a week).
My favorite ereader was the Astak Pocket EZ-Reader: 5" screen, buttons to turn pages (no touchscreen), could read epub and mobi, came with a nice folding cover. I've owned two; on both, the battery stopped holding a charge. Company stopped selling ereaders before I could get a replacement.
I hate that everything's gone to touchscreens and 6" or larger screens.

Date: 2018-05-11 01:03 am (UTC)I blog on many topics, but you can find all my posts on Spanish by using my Spanish flag:

My favorite thing about Spanish is probably reflexive verbs. I have an entry on that here:

And if you look at only one earlier entry, my favorite one is where I change the lyrics of "Secret Agent Man" to be about Spanish agent nouns:
