Okay, so I bumped into
dailyprompt a while ago
Feb. 8th, 2018 07:16 pmAnd I noticed they weren't really updating daily. They were updating occasionally, which seemed to me to be worse than being utterly defunct.
So I volunteered to fill in the gaps! I have no idea what I am doing.
Anyway, that's only half the problem. The other half is the subscribers either aren't using the prompts or anyway aren't posting them, and it's like shouting into the void. I'm a big believer in priming the pump. It may not work, but I like the feeling of having tried, however futilely. So if you are the sort of person who occasionally does creative type things, well, you could do worse than to join and participate and signal boost.

Date: 2018-02-09 02:46 pm (UTC)tl;dr - links generate more conversation than thought provoking posts, which mostly generate thoughts.
i think this is a great point, and there's a lot of truth to it. Even if they don't generate conversation! You post a lot of links and I always enjoy it, because while I don't usually comment on every single one, and sometimes not at all, I definitely notice and it gets me thinking.
I was posting links for a while, YEARS and YEARS ago. Maybe I'll start doing that again. I'm not even really sure why I stopped, because it was fun, and I think it did generate more discussion.
