Like everybody else, I've been fascinated/horrified about the 13 siblings rescued from California. CPS says that the GoFundMe pages are fake (or at least not to be trusted), and this is the correct donation link. It is run by Riverside University Health System. Certainly, those kids will need a lot of financial help for a while.

Edit: It looks like the local chamber of commerce is ALSO collecting donations. They also are presumably trustworthy.

The two well-fed dogs are going to be rehomed together. I'm glad somebody in this story has a happy ending.

quiverfull needs a mention! i have such a suspicious eye for the homeschooling religious families that use the library. there are obvious successes, the doctor's wives (ALL OF THEM), and then there's the ... weird ones who's kids can't read.
