1. Elan sums it up, as usual. (OH! HEY! I MISSED THE NEW STRIP! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN!?)

2. Did Stamets turn off the power with his mind? Oh, boy.

3. Man, it's gotta suck for this Saru, always in actual danger.

4. These musical cues are so heavy-handed. "You remind me of everything good" - SCARY MINOR CHORDS GUYS! THERE IS A BIG REVEAL GUYS!

5. At the end of this series, Voq/Tyler had better be able to integrate/share/whatever their personalities in some healthy way that allows Michael to get what she wants.

6. Don't these people fucking knock? Like, seriously, I'd think not-knocking would be a good way to get on the day's kill list.

7. Aw, Michael! That's so sweet to lie! But ultimately, probably misguided.

8. Aw, Saru! That's so sweet to lie! But ultimately, probably misguided. (Ever get that creepy deja vu feeling?)

9. Tilly, wrong conclusion. But maybe you can still help!

10. Okay, so I know this is our visual cue that These Are The Bad Guys - but seriously. Don't the people on that ship long for some light and color? I bet the Terran Empire would be a lot happier if people shared more lolcats in that universe. (Also, lolcats is apparently not flagged by spellcheck. Wow.)

11. Michael, you play some very dangerous games.

12. I see everybody else has behaved this week.

13. Also, this is DEFINITELY Mirror Lorca. Right?

14. Aw, now it's Michael giving the inspirational speeches!

15. Does this sporiffic technobabble make any sense at all?

16. The Firewolf is Voq. Of course it is. Oh, this is gonna be baaaaaaad.

17. Seriously, the Mirror Universe is so illogical. Why should this Michael Burnham have also been at The Battle of the Binary Stars? Why should both universes have had the same damn battle in the first place!?

18. You know, the etymology of the word "strafe" is pretty interesting.

19. Seriously, why would Sarek be here? It's like the entire universe is run along Plot Handwaveonium!

20. Wow, just stereotype everybody!

21. That was a really bad time for Tyler to snap, hoo-boy. He could not have picked a worse time if this had been scripted.

22. Was everybody else just gonna stand and watch this? Apparently so.

23. Now would be a good time for Sarek to take a few minutes and scan Tyler. Just saying.

24. Dammit, show. I want a happy ending for Tyler!

25. This isn't even shaping up to be a happy ending for Voq. He doesn't sound quite stable here.

26. Yo, Voq, I get that you're upset, but this is not the time.

27. Wait, wait, wait. Are they actually going to go through with this?

28. So Stamets just had to be rebooted like a glitchy computer?

29. Whoever predicted sparkly lights and shimmers, you called it.

30. Don't know why I'm surprised to see Mirror Stamets there.

31. She beamed him onboard Discovery, right? She must have - we've spent entirely too long on Voq's story to give it up now.

32. Poor conflicted Voq/Tyler.

33. Is that a fucking floppy disc!?

34. Do they normally bring prisoners onto the bridge!?

35. This scene makes no fucking sense. The Emperor warped across the quadrant over a 60 minute delay in the timetable? Seriously, she couldn't delegate that? The only reason for this was to "shock" the audience (but who else could the Emperor be, seriously) and allow us to see Lorca giving a weirdly timed smile, and also put them all in peril for next week. But there's better ways, ways that make sense.

LOL

13. Also, this is DEFINITELY Mirror Lorca. Right?

The evidence IS piling up...

23. Now would be a good time for Sarek to take a few minutes and scan Tyler. Just saying.

MY THOUGHT EXACTLY; THEY COULD HAVE RESOLVED IT ALL RIGHT THERE!

24. Dammit, show. I want a happy ending for Tyler!

I NEED THAT!

I think it only makes sense if she was suspicious from the start -- from Michael's return, that is. I agree the delay of the bombing would probably not set her off (so to speak, heh). But Michael may have missed cues, communications; someone on the crew may have ratted her out as behaving oddly...

#3 Yeah, I have no idea how this Saru even functions. I don't remember seeing his threat signals, so either I missed them or he's so used to being in constant danger that they don't show up anymore.

#24 YES PLEASE.

#35 I hope we get an explanation for that, but my theory is that she was suspicious of Michael's return from the start and just testing her. If they have found the base of the leader of the resistance it seems almost stranger that they gave the order to destroy it to a recently-returned-from-the-dead captain than that the Emperor does it personally.

Idk, the Terrans seem like the kind of people to hurt someone (or, as they see him, something) just because they're in a bad mood. But maybe Saru has been able to tell himself that they won't hurt him if he does what they want.
