Date: 2017-12-27 04:32 am (UTC)Green teas and ginger infused black tea get honey only.
I like sweet tea and had to learn to ask for it specifically; a lot of northern iced tea is unsweetened and this is disturbing.
Coffee is typically passed up, altho I will occasionally have a bit of coffee in my cup of cream and sugar.
Chai also happens, especially in winter. It must be brewed in milk, and should be spicy and sweet.
I forgot that I like to brew sage and lemonbalm with honey sometimes before bed, so I guess I should have ticked the herbal option, tho there's no actual tea in that.

* Stevia AND vanilla AND (lemon OR cream OR coconut milk)
* Stevia only
All depends on the underlying bitterness, "woody-ness" or sweetness, respecitvely. (One of the teas I like is Yerba Mate, and that has a very strong "wood/bark" undertone, which I've found vanilla can mask.)

Date: 2017-12-27 08:07 am (UTC)For the second question, I answered "bags", but the real answer is more complex. I think looseleaf tea is usually better but I don't care enough to want to deal with the hassle on a regular basis.
For "And what sort of tea do you like?" I just marked black tea, because that's the tea I *love* and drink almost all the time, but I do enjoy pu-erh, oolong, and green tea, just not generally as much. I don't generally drink herbal tea, but the one kind I do enjoy and sometimes drink is rooibos. (But I'll generally pick black tea over rooibos if there's an option.)
Also I have strong opinions about the proper making of black tea, but not about other kinds of teas. (I'm still learning to drink green tea.)
One of these days I need a tea userpic...

How do you feel about green tea ice cream?

Does amazing things, including properly pressing the ground beans into a puck. The night staff astronomers love it. The day staff? Folgers on the Bunn does it for them.

Date: 2017-12-27 09:57 pm (UTC)I mostly take my tea either with milk and sugar, or black, but sometimes sugar (or honey) and lemon, if milk is unavailable for some reason. I didn't pick both "lemon" and "milk" because I wouldn't combine them.
Iced tea when hot isn't available (it's handier for travel) or on hot days when hot tea would overheat me.
I picked "loose," but that's mostly because my favorite kind of Assam is sold loose (by a place on Christopher Street); my next-favorite tea is Twinings Irish Breakfast, which I'm happy to have in teabags.
My answer for "coffee should be" is "given to someone else": one of my beloveds is a coffee drinker.

Date: 2017-12-27 07:56 pm (UTC)I like coffee, tea, chai, herbal tea, hot chocolate and hot apple cider. I'll take my coffee either black or with milk and sugar (but NOT with artifical sweetener or whitener, ick,) or with honey, whipped cream and Irish whiskey if it comes to that. I like either sugar or honey in tea, but don't have to have it. I don't really care how either the tea or coffee is made, but I do strongly object to single-use plastics such as Keurig, and styrofoam in all its evil forms.

Date: 2017-12-27 08:36 pm (UTC)Sure, if I can't get it the way I like it most, but when I *can* get it the way I like it most, and I'm paying exorbitantly for the privilege, I may as well.
