Well, the potluck was okay

We carefully sat away from all the students and everybody else's family, because god knows we didn't want to be in the middle of a crowd. My casserole and fudge went fast... possibly because the person doling out the casserole told everybody it was stuffing. And also fudge is fudge. Hardly anybody touched the vegetables. There were three vegetable dishes - mine, brussels sprouts, and green beans - and they were virtually untouched, so I'll be taking my veggies to Michele later.

The smart people carefully had their own containers of whatever food they brought so they knew they'd get some, lol!

Next year we may cheat and just bring some Sri Lankan food.

Yeah, bringing your own containers of your own stuff is definitely a good idea.

I've got to get my glazed carrots made, but that's all of less than an hour's work. We're not eating for another 3-4 hours, so plenty of time.

The one drawback to the (seriously fancy) buffet my sister-in-law is treating us to today: no leftovers.
