I had 8 days without social media or the news and I SLEPT SO WELL. It's such a tug of war in my soul - to get involved (and post on social media, to be part of the resistance movement, and yet always in unease and angsty) or to take a little rest.

You shouldn't do any more than you personally feel capable of doing. Burnout is a very real thing. If all you can manage is a monthly email on the most important things, then don't beat yourself up over it!

On a different note, I'm surprised (but should have realised) that people now see posting on social media as something they need to do in order to be part of the resistance. I should have seen that coming since these elections were apparently won through social media as well.

You can probably tell that I don't really use any social media, depending on what is counted as such.

I've still got my heart set on "OD'd during coke filled threesome with Pence and Ryan". Though the conspiracy nuts would have a field day, I'm sure. (But for reals, I wouldn't be surprised to find out he's addicted to something, and cocaine seems right up his alley.)

And yeah. Dude's on something. Cocaine seems likely; I've heard other plausible theories, such as a carefully balanced combination of uppers and downers, prescribed by his shady doctor. Some people say they can see in his demeanor when he's had each one.
Of course the upper can still be cocaine... Donny's little helper.

That makes total sense. And it also seems to fit in with the whole 'rich playboy in the eighties' culture that he loves to emulate.

He seems to be permanently stuck in the eighties in many ways... probably because that was his 'golden age'. Has trouble relating to technology that was developed after that (like the internet, with the exception of Twitter), cares way too much about issues that were big back then, appears to love the aesthetic... and so on.
