Never knew that term! Now I'm curious if "hootenanny" came from a similar vein. I honestly wish I had access to the OED to confirm this.

I'm so glad that alternative to the Epipen is finally coming around. I'm going to posit this podcast episode from STAT on how drug pricing works. Drug pricing is such a tricky issue since you want these companies to push innovation but you also want them not to monopolize the market. I think the podcast itself placed the onus mostly on marketing and legal departments, which I think also ties it towards the CEOs that think about the bottom line rather than the benefit they're providing to people.

Bezos' purchase of WF is supposedly going to lower prices since they don't have to worry as much about the profit margin and I see it helping with Amazon's push as a grocery retailer. Everyone wins, surprisingly better than expected, too. Hope we feel the same way fifty years from now when the Google-Amazon Wars claim America, ha (kidding, I'm not *that* much of a crank).

Try the Online Etymology Dictionary. They're pretty reliable.

Alternatively, you might have access to the online OED with your local library card. That's how I do it most of the time.
