Okay, so LJ changed their terms of service

Not really a fan.

But I can't crosspost unless I switch over, and I have a few friends - some of whom are good friends - who are diehard stuck at LJ.

Should I suck it up or not?

I clicked the damned "accept new ToS" button on the theory that in practice, the most they can do for a violation is kick me off the site because my content doesn't fit their new rules, and my already posted queer left-wing feminist content would be enough to get me kicked off if and when they notice. I will be doing less, if any, cross-posting, but I wanted to at least tell people who are only reading me on LJ what I was doing.

(One of my close friends has a permanent LJ account, which someone gave her, and dislikes Dreamwidth; she's a large part of why I have been cross-posting as much as I have, but sometimes the political is personal.)

I did, just so I could read what LJ people are saying about it, and because you have to if you're going to delete. I'm still thinking about where I stand - I don't want to cross post to a site where I'm breaking the TOS by talking about lilacsigil being my partner. But I've got some friends over here who aren't moving to DW and I don't want to lose touch with them.

The TOS changes are really aimed at the big name Russian politics bloggers. It shouldn't affect you at all.

I know the TOS changes largely aren't aimed at me, but they combine to make me seriously think about leaving. The emailed ads especially.

But to me, this is a serious data privacy issue and a potential political problem; I understand other people do not care.

I'm leaving LJ. You and one other person are the only ones on my friendslist who still post regularly, and you're both on Dreamwidth. I've made an account here but I probably won't post anything.
