I'm so fucking sick of the electoral college bullshit.

He got 59,215,097 votes, Hilary got 59,390,851 votes. Which means she got over 100,000 more votes than he did, which is awfully tight, but still.

Of course, given that he won using electoral college bullshit, we won't see much progress ditching it, will we.

Edit: Also, can we fucking get a neutral party to set congressional districts, and also an approval voting system so third parties (yes, I'm looking at you) don't steal the votes?

Without the electoral college everyone's campaigns would have been so very different that it's hard to tell how it would have gone.

But yes, it should die in a fire.

We won't, but it still means something. The fact that Hillary won the popular vote, even in spite of Comey's stunt and all the voter suppression, will be a rallying-point for the loyal opposition (ourselves,) a warning-shot across the bow to Congress, and a strong inducement for election reform.

I think they'll care more, once the GOP's inevitable internal civil war really gets going.

Nor, nor would we have seen it had our side won. Now all we can do is try not to be the way Republicans were for the last eight years.

So we'll have to be smarter, like we're always claiming to be.
