Date: 2015-05-04 07:25 pm (UTC)One of the points she makes throughout the story however is that Peter is actually responsive and very involved with his father and family, it's his father who mostly doesn't notice, because he's wrapped up in "he will never" in spite of many cues that this is not true. And Peter's school seems progressive enough and not one of those behaviorist prisons. Still, she's got Peter starting to talk as the big finale, like the #2 type ending. Like talking is the Holy Grail or something.
We would still be fine with this if she hadn't published it as a Kindle book to be sold, proceeds donated to you know where.
