This time she went with black bands. Because, you know, she's a vampire.

She has it backwards. When she's trying to be scary she's actually adorable, and when she puts on an ingratiatingly cute act she's freaking terrifying. If she got pink bands I'd flee in terror, but black bands? Meh, I just want to squeeze her little cheeks!

They also got blood drawn for their annual physical. Naturally they weren't thrilled, but we were in and out with a minimum of fuss. We got to the lab at the very last possible minute, and just like a cashier who wants to be out of there at the end of shift they started turning out the lights around us. "Shhh, we just don't want any more patients after you!"

( I actually WENT to that camp - Camp Sacajawea, it used to be - two summers, '68 and '69 - but I had a blast there: you wouldn't believe the stars, and the scent of balsam pine; plus it was where I first read Little House in the Big Woods.)
