ConEd just sent me an email saying to call if I smell gas

The last time I got one was a week after the last gas explosion, the one up in Harlem. At least their response time was faster this go-around, but it seems to me that we'd all be in better shape if, instead of chiding us to Do Our Part (and reminding us that these calls can be anonymous... I guess for the civic minded burglars in our midst?), they got to work on repairing their ancient infrastructure. Well, I guess they have been, but not fast enough.

Oddly, we get our gas from National Grid, but they haven't sent us an email. Maybe I'm just not on their email list?
